Strength exercise
Sandbag Good Morning
How to do it
- Rest the sandbag across the back of the shoulders and stand with feet hip width apart.
- Brace the core and set a slight bend in the knees that you hold throughout the movement.
- Hinge forward at the hips, pushing them backward while keeping the spine neutral and chest lifted.
- Lower the torso until you feel a stretch through the hamstrings, stopping before the back rounds.
- Drive the hips forward to return to standing, squeezing the hamstrings and glutes at the top.
- Inhale on the way down and exhale on the way up for each repetition.
