Cardio exercise
Running (Tempo)
How to do it
- Start with an easy warm-up jog for several minutes before settling into the main effort.
- Increase the pace to a comfortably hard, sustained effort that could be held for an extended period without stopping.
- Keep the stride efficient and the arm swing controlled rather than tense.
- Hold this pace steadily for the prescribed distance or time without surging or fading.
- Finish with an easy jog to bring the effort back down gradually.
- Breathe in a strong, controlled rhythm that stays consistent rather than ragged throughout the tempo segment.
