Cardio exercise
Running (Outdoor)
How to do it
- Choose a road, path, or trail outdoors and begin at an easy jogging pace to warm into the run.
- Scan the surface ahead continuously to adjust footing for curbs, cracks, or uneven ground.
- Keep the posture tall with a relaxed jaw and shoulders as the pace settles in.
- Drive through the quadriceps, hamstrings, and calves with each stride, adjusting cadence to the terrain.
- Use crosswalks, sidewalks, or trail edges appropriately and stay aware of surrounding traffic or other path users.
- Breathe steadily through the effort and adjust pace slightly for wind, incline, or surface changes along the route.
