Strength exercise

Rope Climb (Legless)

How to do it

  1. Stand beneath a suspended climbing rope, reach up, and grip it firmly with both hands.
  2. Keep the legs extended and together, hanging free without wrapping or clamping the rope.
  3. Pull the elbows down and back to drive the body upward using the shoulders and the muscles of the upper back.
  4. Reset one hand above the other in a continuous alternating pattern, repeating the sequence for each ascent.
  5. Brace the core throughout to keep the legs still and hold a tight hollow body line.
  6. Lower yourself with a slow, controlled hand over hand descent rather than dropping down.
