Strength exercise

Lat Pulldown Machine (Neutral Grip)

How to do it

  1. Sit at the machine with the thighs locked under the pad and grip a neutral grip attachment so the palms face each other.
  2. Set the arms fully extended overhead with a small lean back through the torso.
  3. Pull the handle down toward the collarbone, keeping the elbows tracking close to the sides of the body.
  4. Squeeze the lats and hold briefly at the bottom before beginning the return.
  5. Extend the arms back to a full stretch under control, feeling the lats lengthen.
  6. Keep the wrists neutral throughout and avoid rounding the lower back to help the pull.
