Strength exercise
Reverse Crunch
How to do it
- Lie flat on your back with the arms resting alongside the body and the knees bent toward the chest.
- Brace the core and press the lower back gently into the floor before starting the movement.
- Curl the hips off the floor by drawing the knees up and in toward the chest, using the lower core rather than momentum.
- Exhale as the hips lift and pause briefly at the top of the curl.
- Lower the hips back down slowly, keeping the knees drawn in until the feet lightly touch down.
- Repeat for the set number of reps, keeping the motion controlled rather than swinging the legs.
