Strength exercise
Oblique V-up
How to do it
- Lie on one side with the legs stacked and the bottom arm resting on the floor for balance.
- Extend the top arm alongside the ear and keep the legs straight and together.
- Brace the obliques and simultaneously lift the top leg and the torso to bring the hand toward the foot.
- Squeeze briefly at the top of the movement where the hand and foot meet above the hip.
- Lower both the torso and the leg back to the floor with control to complete one repetition on that side.
- Keep the hips stacked throughout so the oblique, not the hip flexor, drives the lifting motion.
