Strength exercise

Monster Walk (Banded)

How to do it

  1. Loop a resistance band around the ankles and take a slight quarter squat stance with knees pressed outward.
  2. Hold both hands in loose fists at chest height to keep the forearms engaged and the upper body still.
  3. Brace the core and step diagonally forward and out to one side, keeping tension on the band throughout.
  4. Follow with the trailing leg without letting the knees collapse inward or the band go slack.
  5. Continue stepping diagonally for the set distance, then reverse direction and repeat stepping backward.
  6. Keep the torso upright and breathing steady, avoiding any bouncing or rushed steps.
