Medicine Ball Plank Pull

How to do it

  1. Set up in a high plank with a medicine ball positioned just outside one hand, feet slightly wider than hip width for a stable base.
  2. Brace the core and keep the shoulders stacked over the wrists with the hips level.
  3. Reach one hand across the body to pull the medicine ball underneath the torso to the opposite side.
  4. Plant that hand back down and repeat the pull with the other arm, alternating the ball back and forth beneath the body.
  5. Keep the hips square throughout each pull, resisting the rotation that the reaching arm creates.
  6. Continue alternating the pull for the prescribed time, breathing steadily; letting the hips sag or twist toward the reaching side is the main fault to avoid.
