Lower Back Stretch (Knee to Chest)

How to do it

  1. Lie on your back on a mat with both legs extended flat on the floor.
  2. Bend one knee and grasp the shin or the back of the thigh with both hands.
  3. Draw that knee toward your chest while keeping the opposite leg relaxed on the floor.
  4. Pull gently only until you feel a stretch along the lower back and the back of the hip.
  5. Breathe slowly and hold the position for 20 to 30 seconds.
  6. Release the knee back down with control and switch legs.
