Lower Back Stretch (Child's Pose)

How to do it

  1. Kneel on the floor with your big toes touching and knees spread wide.
  2. Sit your hips back toward your heels while reaching both arms forward on the floor.
  3. Lower your chest toward the mat and rest your forehead down.
  4. Sink the hips back only until you feel a stretch along the lower back and sides of the torso.
  5. Breathe slowly into the lower back and hold the position for 20 to 30 seconds.
  6. Walk the hands back and rise up slowly to release.
