Strength exercise

Leg Curl Machine (Standing)

How to do it

  1. Stand at the machine with the pad resting against the back of one ankle and hold the support frame for balance.
  2. Keep the standing leg slightly bent and the hips level, facing forward throughout.
  3. Bend the working knee to curl the heel up toward the glutes against the pad.
  4. Keep the thigh still and avoid letting the hips rock to help lift the weight.
  5. Pause at the top of the curl, then lower the leg back down slowly to full extension.
  6. Complete all reps on one leg before moving to the other side.
