Strength exercise
Band Leg Curl
How to do it
- Anchor a resistance band low around a stable post and loop the other end around one ankle.
- Stand facing the anchor with a slight bend in the standing leg and hold onto something for balance.
- Keep the working thigh still and bend the knee to curl the heel up toward the glutes.
- Feel the hamstrings working through the back of the thigh as the band resists the curl.
- Pause briefly at the top of the curl, then extend the leg back down under control against the band.
- Complete all reps on one leg before switching sides, keeping the hips square throughout.
