Strength exercise

Band Leg Curl

How to do it

  1. Anchor a resistance band low around a stable post and loop the other end around one ankle.
  2. Stand facing the anchor with a slight bend in the standing leg and hold onto something for balance.
  3. Keep the working thigh still and bend the knee to curl the heel up toward the glutes.
  4. Feel the hamstrings working through the back of the thigh as the band resists the curl.
  5. Pause briefly at the top of the curl, then extend the leg back down under control against the band.
  6. Complete all reps on one leg before switching sides, keeping the hips square throughout.
