Strength exercise
Knee Tuck (Stability Ball)
How to do it
- Set up in a plank with hands under the shoulders and the tops of your feet or shins resting on a stability ball.
- Brace the core and hold a straight line from head to heels before initiating any movement of the ball.
- Roll the ball inward by drawing both knees toward your chest, keeping the hips low and level as the ball travels forward.
- Pause briefly in the tucked position with the core fully engaged, then extend the legs back out to the plank.
- Exhale as you tuck the knees in and inhale as you roll the ball back out to the starting plank.
- Keep the hips from piking upward during the tuck; letting them rise is the most common fault in this movement.
