Flexibility exercise

Hamstring Stretch (Standing)

How to do it

  1. Stand tall and place one heel on a low bench, step, or raised surface with that leg kept straight.
  2. Keep the standing leg's knee soft and both hips facing forward.
  3. Hinge forward from the hips, reaching toward the toes of the raised foot while keeping the back flat rather than rounded.
  4. Lower only until you feel a stretch through the back of the raised thigh.
  5. Breathe slowly and hold the position for 20 to 30 seconds.
  6. Rise back up with control and switch legs.
