Flexibility exercise
Hamstring Stretch (Standing)
How to do it
- Stand tall and place one heel on a low bench, step, or raised surface with that leg kept straight.
- Keep the standing leg's knee soft and both hips facing forward.
- Hinge forward from the hips, reaching toward the toes of the raised foot while keeping the back flat rather than rounded.
- Lower only until you feel a stretch through the back of the raised thigh.
- Breathe slowly and hold the position for 20 to 30 seconds.
- Rise back up with control and switch legs.
