Flexibility exercise

Hamstring Stretch (Lying)

How to do it

  1. Lie on your back on a mat with both legs extended flat on the floor.
  2. Bend one knee toward your chest and clasp both hands behind the thigh or calf of that leg.
  3. Straighten the knee as much as feels controlled while keeping the opposite leg flat on the floor.
  4. Draw the leg gently closer only until you feel a stretch along the back of the thigh.
  5. Breathe slowly and hold the position for 20 to 30 seconds.
  6. Release the leg back down with control and switch sides.
