Egyptian Lateral Raise

How to do it

  1. Stand sideways to a cable machine holding a low cable handle.
  2. Lean your body away from the cable to create a greater stretch.
  3. Raise the cable out to the side with a slight bend in your elbow.
  4. Use a 2-second eccentric lowering phase.
  5. Focus on squeezing your lateral deltoid at the top.
  6. The lean creates a longer range of motion than standard lateral raises.
