Dumbbell Side Lateral Raise
How to do it
- Stand holding a dumbbell in each hand by the sides with palms facing inward.
- Set the feet hip width apart with a soft bend in the knees and a slight forward lean.
- Keep a slight bend in the elbows and raise both arms out to the sides together.
- Lift until the hands reach roughly shoulder height, leading the movement with the elbows.
- Pause at the top to feel the lateral deltoids working, then lower with control.
- Keep the traps relaxed and avoid shrugging the shoulders up toward the ears.
