How to do it
- Hold a single dumbbell vertically against your chest with both hands cupping one end.
- Stand with feet slightly wider than shoulder width, toes turned out slightly.
- Brace your core and squat down by bending the knees and hips, keeping the dumbbell close to your chest.
- Lower until your thighs are at least parallel to the floor, keeping your chest upright.
- Drive through your heels to stand, extending through the quadriceps and glutes.
- Inhale on the descent, exhale on the drive up, avoiding letting the knees collapse inward.
