Strength exercise
Dead Bug (Stability Ball)
How to do it
- Lie on your back holding a stability ball between your hands and knees, arms extended toward the ceiling and knees bent 90 degrees.
- Press your lower back flat into the floor and brace the core before beginning.
- Slowly lower one arm and the opposite leg away from the ball while keeping light pressure squeezed into it, then return to center.
- Switch sides, maintaining steady pressure against the ball throughout to keep the shoulders and hips engaged.
- Exhale as you extend away from center and inhale as you draw back in.
- A common fault is letting the ball drift or the lower back lift off the floor, keep both fixed throughout the set.
