Strength exercise
Crunch (Reverse)
How to do it
- Lie on your back with arms flat at your sides and knees bent to roughly 90 degrees, shins parallel to the floor.
- Brace the core and curl your hips off the floor by drawing your knees toward your chest.
- Lift only through the lower abdomen, keeping the motion small and controlled rather than swinging the legs.
- Pause briefly at the top before lowering the hips back down with control.
- Exhale as you curl the hips up and inhale as you lower them back down.
- A common fault is using momentum to swing the legs, keep the movement slow and driven by the core.
