Strength exercise

Crab Walk

How to do it

  1. Sit on the floor with knees bent, feet flat, and hands planted behind the hips with fingers pointing forward.
  2. Lift the hips off the floor so the body forms a tabletop shape, weight distributed between hands and feet.
  3. Walk forward by moving the opposite hand and foot together, keeping the hips elevated and steady.
  4. Brace the core throughout to prevent the hips from dropping toward the floor.
  5. Keep a firm grip through the forearms and fingers as they press into the ground with each step.
  6. Move at a controlled pace and avoid letting the hips sag, a common fault that removes tension from the core.
