Strength exercise
Cable Pull Through
How to do it
- Attach a rope to a low pulley and stand facing away from the machine with the rope between your legs, feet shoulder-width apart.
- Grip the rope with both hands and walk forward until there is tension, then set a slight bend in the knees.
- Hinge at the hips and let the rope travel back between your legs, keeping the core braced and the spine neutral.
- Drive your hips forward to stand tall, squeezing the core and finishing with the rope in front of your hips.
- Exhale as you drive the hips forward and inhale as you hinge back into the next repetition.
- Avoid rounding the lower back at the bottom of the hinge; keep the chest lifted throughout.
