Cable Curl

How to do it

  1. Stand facing a low pulley, gripping a straight or EZ bar attachment with hands shoulder width apart and palms facing up.
  2. Step back slightly so there is constant tension on the cable, keeping the elbows pinned to the sides.
  3. Curl the bar up toward the chest by flexing the biceps, keeping the elbows fixed in place.
  4. Squeeze the biceps at the top of the curl before starting the descent.
  5. Lower the bar back down over a 3 count, resisting the cable's pull instead of letting it drop.
  6. Keep the shoulders back and down instead of rolling them forward to help the bar up.
