Band Hammer Curl

How to do it

  1. Stand on the middle of a resistance band with feet hip width apart and hold a handle in each hand with palms facing the torso.
  2. Curl both handles up toward the shoulders together, keeping the neutral grip fixed throughout the movement.
  3. Keep the upper arms pinned to the sides so the biceps manage the resistance rather than the shoulders swinging forward.
  4. Squeeze at the top of the curl before releasing the band tension slowly on the way down.
  5. Maintain steady band tension through the full range rather than letting it go slack at the bottom.
  6. Exhale on the curl up and inhale on the controlled lowering for each rep.
