Strength exercise
Band Hammer Curl
How to do it
- Stand on the middle of a resistance band with feet hip width apart and hold a handle in each hand with palms facing the torso.
- Curl both handles up toward the shoulders together, keeping the neutral grip fixed throughout the movement.
- Keep the upper arms pinned to the sides so the biceps manage the resistance rather than the shoulders swinging forward.
- Squeeze at the top of the curl before releasing the band tension slowly on the way down.
- Maintain steady band tension through the full range rather than letting it go slack at the bottom.
- Exhale on the curl up and inhale on the controlled lowering for each rep.
