Strength exercise

Band Glute Bridge

How to do it

  1. Lie on your back with knees bent, feet flat on the floor hip-width apart, and a resistance band looped just above the knees.
  2. Press the knees slightly outward into the band to keep tension throughout the set.
  3. Drive through the heels and squeeze the gluteus maximus to lift the hips off the floor.
  4. Extend the hips until the body forms a straight line from shoulders to knees, avoiding overarching the lower back.
  5. Pause briefly at the top of the bridge, holding the outward press against the band.
  6. Lower the hips back down under control and reset before the next rep.
