Cardio exercise

Walking

How to do it

  1. Stand tall with the shoulders relaxed and begin walking at a steady, comfortable pace.
  2. Swing the arms naturally front to back in opposition to the legs, keeping the elbows bent near ninety degrees.
  3. Keep the hands in a loose, relaxed fist through the arm swing to lightly engage the forearm flexors.
  4. Brace the core gently to keep the torso upright rather than leaning forward from the hips.
  5. Roll each foot from heel to toe with a steady stride length matched to the walking pace.
  6. Breathe naturally through the walk, holding the pace steady for the planned duration or distance.
