Strength exercise
TRX Single Leg Squat
How to do it
- Face the suspension trainer anchor point and hold a handle in each hand with the straps set to roughly waist length.
- Lift one foot off the floor and extend it slightly forward, keeping the standing leg's hip stacked over the ankle.
- Bend the standing knee and hip to lower, using light tension on the straps for balance rather than pulling the body up.
- Descend until the standing thigh nears parallel, feeling the quadriceps and glutes of the standing leg control the depth.
- Drive through the standing foot to rise, keeping the core braced so the torso does not rotate.
- Exhale on the way up and complete all reps on one leg before switching to the other side.
