Strength exercise
TRX Lunge
How to do it
- Hold the suspension trainer handles at chest height with arms extended, feet staggered in a split stance to start.
- Lower into a lunge, using light tension on the straps for balance while the front quadriceps take the load.
- Brace the core to keep the hips square and the torso upright as you descend.
- Press through the front heel to return to standing, keeping the straps taut but not used to pull yourself up.
- Exhale on the way up and inhale on the way down, keeping the tempo steady.
- Common fault: avoid leaning back into the straps or letting the front knee drift past the toes.
