Strength exercise
Tire Flip
How to do it
- Approach a large tire and squat down to grip the underside with both hands, keeping the chest up and back flat.
- Brace the core and drive through the legs and hips to lift the tire off the ground.
- Push forward and upward through the tire once it reaches thigh height, extending the hips fully.
- Step in and drive through the shoulders and chest to flip the tire completely onto its opposite side.
- Exhale forcefully during the lift and flip, avoiding rounding the lower back during the initial pull.
- Reset the stance behind the tire and repeat the lift and flip for the prescribed number of reps.
