Stair Climbing

How to do it

  1. Begin on the machine with feet flat on the pedals and a light hold on the rails for balance only.
  2. Settle into a continuous stepping rhythm, pressing through the quadriceps and gluteus maximus on every step.
  3. Keep the stride full length rather than shortening the step to chase a faster display speed.
  4. Extend through the calves at the bottom of each step to keep the ankle active through the motion.
  5. Hold a tall, upright posture for the full duration rather than hinging forward at the hips.
  6. Sustain a steady, even pace for the working duration and cool down with a slower pace before stepping off.
