Strength exercise
Split Jump
How to do it
- Start in a staggered split stance with one foot forward and one foot back, both knees bent to about 90 degrees.
- Keep the torso upright and the front knee tracking over the front foot.
- Drive through both legs to jump straight up, extending through the quadriceps, glutes, and calves.
- Switch the position of the legs in the air, landing softly with the opposite foot forward.
- Absorb the landing by bending both knees again before immediately driving into the next jump.
- Exhale on each jump and keep the front knee from collapsing inward on landing.
