Strength exercise

Sled Push (High Handle)

How to do it

  1. Stand behind the sled and grip the high handles at chest to shoulder height with arms extended forward.
  2. Set the feet staggered and keep the torso more upright than a low handle push while still leaning slightly into the load.
  3. Drive forward with strong leg strides, pushing through the quadriceps and glutes with each step.
  4. Keep the core braced to support the more vertical torso position through the set distance.
  5. Exhale on each driving step and keep the shoulders engaged so the handles do not drift side to side.
  6. Take slightly quicker, shorter steps than the low handle version to match the more upright body angle.
