Strength exercise
Sled Drag (Forward)
How to do it
- Attach a harness or strap to the sled and face forward, walking away from the sled to create tension.
- Set the feet hip-width apart and lean the torso forward slightly to keep constant tension on the line.
- Drive forward with quick, powerful strides, pushing through the quadriceps and glutes with each step.
- Keep the core braced to stabilize the torso as the sled's resistance pulls against your forward drive.
- Pump the arms naturally at your sides and keep breathing rhythmic with your stride cadence.
- Cover the set distance at a steady pace, avoiding overstriding, which reduces power transfer into the ground.
