Strength exercise
Shuffle
How to do it
- Start in an athletic stance with knees bent, feet wider than shoulder width, and hips pushed back slightly.
- Keep your chest up and hands ready in front of you, weight balanced on the balls of your feet.
- Push off the trailing foot and shuffle laterally in quick, low steps without crossing your feet.
- Drive through the quadriceps and calves with each step, keeping the hips low throughout the set.
- Control your breathing with short exhales on each push, changing direction on cue.
- Avoid standing tall between steps; stay low and reset your stance before shuffling back the other way.
