Strength exercise

Power Skip

How to do it

  1. Start from a standing position and begin a skipping rhythm with a light, quick step on each leg.
  2. Drive one knee up sharply toward hip height while pushing off explosively through the opposite foot.
  3. Swing the opposite arm forward to match the knee drive, keeping the motion powerful rather than casual.
  4. Let the quadriceps and glutes generate the upward drive while the calves finish the push off the ground.
  5. Land on the ball of the foot and absorb briefly before driving into the next skip.
  6. Continue the skipping pattern for the set distance or time, keeping the rhythm quick and explosive throughout.
