Strength exercise

Meadows Row

How to do it

  1. Anchor one end of a bar in a corner or landmine attachment and stand alongside the loaded end in a staggered stance.
  2. Hinge forward at the hips with a flat back and grip the bar close to the collar with one hand, palm facing your body.
  3. Brace your core and let your torso rotate slightly toward the bar as you set up for the pull.
  4. Row the bar up and back toward your hip, driving your elbow high and squeezing your back and biceps at the top.
  5. Exhale as you pull, pause briefly, then lower the bar under control to a full stretch at arm's length.
  6. Keep your stance grounded throughout the set; avoid using your legs to jerk the weight upward.
