Cardio exercise

L-Drill

How to do it

  1. Set three cones in an L shape about five yards apart and start in a two point stance at the base cone.
  2. Sprint forward to the middle cone, driving through the quadriceps to accelerate quickly off the line.
  3. Touch the base of the cone with the outside hand, then plant and cut sharply around it.
  4. Weave through the middle cone before sprinting to the far cone and circling back the same way.
  5. Stay on the balls of the feet through each turn, using the calves to absorb and redirect force.
  6. Sprint back through the start line and repeat after a short recovery, keeping the torso low on every direction change.
