Cardio exercise
Jumping Jack
How to do it
- Stand with feet together and arms resting at your sides, knees soft and ready to move.
- Jump the feet out wide while simultaneously raising the arms overhead in one fluid motion.
- Jump the feet back together while lowering the arms back to the sides, landing softly through the calves.
- Drive each jump through the quadriceps and glutes to keep the tempo light and springy.
- Match a steady, repeatable cadence between the arm swing and the leg jump.
- Keep landings soft and controlled, and avoid locking the knees on each touchdown, a common fault that increases impact through the legs.
