Cardio exercise
Incline Treadmill Walking
How to do it
- Set the treadmill incline to a moderate grade and start the belt at a comfortable walking speed.
- Stand tall with the core braced and avoid holding the front rail once the pace feels steady.
- Step with a full stride, driving through the incline with a slight forward lean from the ankles.
- Swing the arms bent at the elbow in rhythm with the stride, letting the forearm flexors engage naturally.
- Hold the incline pace for the full session, adjusting speed rather than grade if the effort feels off.
- Avoid gripping the side rails for support, since holding on reduces the effort placed on the core and legs.
