Cardio exercise

Fan Bike

How to do it

  1. Adjust the stationary bike saddle so your leg extends nearly straight at the bottom of the stroke and settle into an upright, stable torso.
  2. Wrap your hands around the moving handles and set your feet flat on the pedals, ready to move your arms and legs together.
  3. Begin pedaling by pressing through your quadriceps and calves while actively pushing one handle away and pulling the other toward you with each stroke.
  4. Sync the arm push and pull with the pedal turnover so both sides trade off smoothly and the fan resistance stays constant.
  5. Keep your breathing rhythmic and settle into a cadence that matches your target effort, using the rising fan resistance as feedback.
  6. Avoid resting your arms and coasting on the handles, since a relaxed grip turns a full-body machine into a legs-only ride.
