Strength exercise
Dumbbell Arnold Press
How to do it
- Sit or stand holding a dumbbell in each hand at shoulder height with the palms facing the body.
- Brace the core and begin pressing the dumbbells upward while rotating the palms outward.
- Continue the press and rotation together until the arms are fully extended overhead with the palms facing forward.
- Pause briefly at the top with the shoulders stacked under the dumbbells.
- Reverse the rotation on the way down, turning the palms back to face the body as the dumbbells return to shoulder height.
- Keep the rotation smooth and continuous rather than pressing and twisting in separate stages.
