Close-Grip Smith Machine Press

How to do it

  1. Set up on a flat bench within the Smith machine.
  2. Grip the bar with hands shoulder-width apart or narrower.
  3. Unrack and lower the bar to your chest with elbows tucked.
  4. Press the bar back up to full lockout.
  5. Keep your shoulder blades retracted and depressed.
  6. Focus on squeezing your triceps at the top.
