Strength exercise

Bunny Hop

How to do it

  1. Stand with feet hip-width apart, knees soft, and arms bent at your sides ready to swing.
  2. Brace your core and dip slightly at the knees and hips to load the jump.
  3. Push through the balls of your feet and hop both feet forward together, driving through the quadriceps and gluteus maximus.
  4. Land lightly on the balls of your feet with knees bent, letting the calves absorb the impact before the next hop.
  5. Keep the hops quick and low to the ground, breathing in a steady rhythm as you chain repetitions together.
  6. Avoid letting your knees cave inward on landing; keep them tracking over your toes each hop.
