Strength exercise

Skin the Cat

How to do it

  1. Hang from an overhead bar with a shoulder-width overhand grip and arms fully extended.
  2. Brace your core and lift your legs together, tucking your knees toward your chest to start the roll.
  3. Continue the rotation by driving your hips and legs up and over, rolling backward until your feet point toward the floor behind you.
  4. Keep the shoulders active and the lats engaged to control the descent rather than letting momentum take over.
  5. Reverse the motion smoothly, rolling the hips back through to the starting hang position.
  6. Exhale through the roll-over and inhale as you return, keeping the movement slow and controlled throughout.
