Neutral Grip Lat Pulldown

How to do it

  1. Sit at the pulldown station and secure the thighs under the pad, gripping the neutral attachment with palms facing each other.
  2. Lean the torso back slightly and let the arms extend fully overhead before starting the pull.
  3. Draw the handle down to the top of the chest by pulling the elbows down and back along the sides of the ribs.
  4. Squeeze the shoulder blades together at the bottom, letting the back muscles finish the movement rather than the arms.
  5. Extend the arms back up under control to a full overhead stretch between reps.
  6. Keep the ribcage down throughout and avoid flaring the elbows out to the sides during the pull.
