Cardio exercise

Cycling (Stationary)

How to do it

  1. Straddle the stationary bike and set the saddle height level with the hip crease while standing beside it.
  2. Sit on the saddle and check that the knee holds a slight bend at the bottom of the pedal stroke, adjusting if needed.
  3. Position the handlebars so the elbows keep a soft bend while gripping them from the saddle.
  4. Strap the feet in securely, then begin pedaling in smooth, even circles.
  5. Build to a steady working cadence, driving through the quadriceps on each downstroke.
  6. Avoid starting a session with the saddle unchecked, since an incorrect height strains the pedal stroke through the whole ride.
