Strength exercise

Wall Walk

How to do it

  1. Start in a prone position on the floor with the feet against the base of a wall.
  2. Push into a plank position and walk the feet up the wall while walking the hands backward toward it.
  3. Keep the core braced to maintain a straight line through the hips as the body angle steepens.
  4. Grip the floor firmly with the fingers to load the forearm flexors as the hands take on more weight.
  5. Climb until the hips are stacked over the shoulders or as high as control allows, then pause briefly.
  6. Reverse the walk deliberately, lowering the feet back down the wall, avoiding letting the hips sag mid rep.
