Strength exercise

Battle Ropes

How to do it

  1. Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent, holding one end of the battle rope in each hand with a firm grip.
  2. Hinge slightly forward at the hips to set an athletic base.
  3. Brace the core to stabilize the torso before starting the waves.
  4. Drive continuous waves through the ropes using the shoulders, drawing on the upper back to control each stroke while the core resists rotation.
  5. Keep the working pace steady and breathe in rhythm with the cadence rather than holding the breath.
  6. Avoid letting the shoulders round forward as fatigue sets in during the set.
