Strength exercise
Battle Rope Slams
How to do it
- Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent, holding one end of the battle rope in each hand at shoulder height.
- Set a firm grip and raise both arms overhead together.
- Brace the core before driving the ropes downward.
- Slam both rope ends into the floor as hard as possible, driving through the shoulders and core to generate downward force, letting the knees bend slightly to absorb the motion.
- Exhale forcefully on each slam and inhale while raising the arms back overhead.
- Avoid rounding the lower back excessively when reaching overhead between slams.
